  • Burlap ribbon
  • Foam wreath form
  • Hot glue gun
  • Pineapple Doily
  • Burlap flowers
  • Scissors
  • Feathers
  • Yarn
  • Twigs

  1. Wrap ivory burlap around the wreath form. Secure the starting end and edges using a dab of glue. Do this as you go while pulling it taut. When you’re finished, cut your burlap and secure the end with hot glue. Do the same thing with the fall yarn.
  2. Wrap the fall yarn around the wreath form, similar as what you did with the burlap.
  3. Add more accessories. Place twigs upward and out, or downward and out. Secure embellishments with a dab of hot glue.
  4. Put a medium sized cream doily on top of the stick, and use a dab of hot glue to secure.
  5. Cut the stems from the burlap flowers and fasten them to the doily using hot glue.
  6. You may add some feather or linen flowers if you want more bling.

Colorful Yarn Balls

Want to add some color in your rather ordinary home? These yarn balls are a versatile and an easy craft idea to add a festive touch to your house.

  • Glue
  • Balloons
  • School glue
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Scissors
  • Yarn
  • Mixing bowl
  • Cooking spray
  • Plastic bags to cover the floor

  1. Blow up balloons halfway, and tie the knot of each balloon.
  2. Look for a drying area. Place plastic bags on the floor of the drying area to catch drips of glue.
  3. Hang balloons and spray them with cooking spray.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch with hot water.
  5. Pour a bottle of glue and blend well.
  6. Dip yarn into the water and glue mixture while squeezing out excess liquid with your fingers.
  7. Start at the knot-end of each balloon. Wrap the wet yarn around your balloon. Note that the more you wrap, the denser your yarn ball will be.
  8. Wrap in different directions, side to side, top to bottom. Cut the string when you are done.
  9. Repeat the entire process with each balloon. Dry the balloon. This process will take twenty-four hours. Pop the balloon, and gently take it out from the yard ball.
